Stone

After suffering a broken wrist, and being unable to paint with her right hand, Sr. Pierre sat in on a class to observe working with clay. In 1941, she created her first piece in clay. It was called Lord of Life. She than cast it in stone using a formula that she created with a mixture of aggregates. She made molds of these castings and reproduced the images for many years.
