Sr. Pierre worked with many unique wood from around the world. She used these woods for her carved pieces. In her later years at Maryknoll she created her new art form which she called “Woodland Sculptures”. She would walk the grounds at the Sisters Center, and find images and scripture references in driftwood, and other natural wood forms. There are hundreds of these pieces in her collection.
